Priorities
What are My Priorities?
I’m running because I believe in a Maryland where everyone has the chance to succeed, regardless of background or circumstance. A place where our economy works for all of us, our schools prepare every child to succeed, our healthcare system is accessible, our environment is protected for generations to come, and where civil liberties are upheld, and communities are free from hate, discrimination, and bias.
In every policy I pursue, I will lead with integrity, inclusion, and a deep commitment to all Marylanders.

Economic Development
We need an economy that leaves no one behind.
If elected, I will fight every day to expand economic opportunity and lift up Maryland’s working families.
That commitment begins right here in District 16, home to thousands of federal workers whose livelihoods have been threatened by reckless budget cuts and government shutdowns. Whether directly affected or watching their neighbors suffer, our community has felt the impact. I will work to protect these jobs and help rebuild our regional economy with stability and resilience.
A strong economy also means investing in small businesses—the engine of job creation and innovation. I will advocate for reducing unnecessary red tape, expanding access to capital and technology, and providing targeted support for women- and minority-owned businesses. I’ll champion incentives for businesses that prioritize diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility—and that create opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental differences.
Economic opportunity must also include fair treatment for all workers. I will fight for fair wages, paid family and medical leave, and access to quality health insurance—because no one should have to choose between their health, their family, and their paycheck.

Protect Education
A Path to Equity and Opportunity
Education is the foundation of a just and thriving economy. It empowers individuals, strengthens communities, and opens doors to opportunity. Yet far too many barriers still stand in the way of success for too many students.
I’m committed to breaking down those barriers by prioritizing the full implementation of the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, a landmark plan to transform public education across our state. I will champion efforts to recruit and retain a high-quality, diverse educator workforce and expand STEM and workforce development partnerships that prepare students for the jobs of tomorrow. Just as importantly, I believe our educators must have the support and resources they need to help every student thrive.
I will fight to expand early childhood education, strengthen services for students with special needs, and increase access to career and technical education. I’m also focused on solving the real challenges our schools face, like overcrowded classrooms, chronic absenteeism, and the widening achievement gaps that have only deepened since the COVID-19 pandemic.
For me, investing in education isn’t just about policy, it’s about equity, opportunity, and the future of every child in Maryland.

Ensuring Healthcare Access
Healthcare Is a Right Not a Privilege
I believe that healthcare is a human right—no one should be denied the care they need to live a healthy, dignified life. As your Delegate, I will work to ensure every Marylander has access to affordable, high-quality healthcare, including mental health services, reproductive care, and comprehensive support for caregivers and seniors.
I will fight to protect abortion access, eliminate healthcare inequities, and support the providers who deliver these essential services every day. But I also know that good health goes beyond medical care—it means addressing the root causes of poor health, starting with food insecurity, which continues to drive health disparities in too many communities.
My approach is holistic and inclusive. I will advocate for expanded mental health care across all age groups, defend marriage equality, push to close the gender pay gap, and work to end violence against women and girls.
As Maryland’s population ages, I’m committed to helping our seniors age with dignity. That means expanding affordable in-home care, improving conditions in long-term care facilities, and raising wages and training standards for caregivers—so both seniors and those who care for them are treated with the respect and support they deserve.

Preserve Our Environment
Maryland must lead—not with words, but with action.
We are standing at a tipping point in the fight against climate change, and the choices we make now will define the future for generations to come. Climate action is not optional; it’s essential to our health, our economy, and the legacy we leave our children and grandchildren.
That’s why I’m committed to bold, urgent action: protecting our natural resources, reducing carbon emissions, and investing in clean, renewable energy. We must also rethink how we build our communities, prioritizing walkable, sustainable neighborhoods with accessible green spaces that improve quality of life for everyone.
The path forward is clear. We can build a healthier, more resilient Maryland, one that leads on climate and works for all of us.
