I'm stepping up for Maryland – Will you stand with me?
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
From an early age, my parents instilled in me a deep sense of responsibility to serve my community. My mother, an educator, devoted her career to helping her students find pathways to use their talents. My father, a physician, spent his career addressing the health disparities that women face. They encouraged me to find my own path to contributing to the greater good, to building a stronger society, where everyone could have a chance of reaching their potential. As a family of immigrants, we understood it was our responsibility to pay it forward.
After living in Maryland for more than 40 years and raising my family here, I’m running for office because I believe it is my duty to step up and face the challenge. We can’t leave it to the next generation, we must take charge and shape the future of our communities. I want to bring that spirit of service, accountability, and compassion to Annapolis.
I know you know that running a campaign takes more than energy and ideas. It takes resources - people power and financial. Grassroots support fuels everything we do, from printing materials and knocking on doors, to reaching voters and spreading our message throughout District 16.
It’s a tough time and a tough time to ask anyone to commit to a financial contribution. But every contribution, no matter the size ($10, $50, or $100) makes a real difference. This is a people-powered campaign, and I’m proud of that.
