Maryland's Economy Suffers, Under Trump's Immigration Policies
Dear Friends,
Like many of you, I am deeply alarmed by the Trump administration’s relentless, illegal immigration policies and the devastating impact they are having on Maryland families and local businesses.
I’ve heard directly from residents of District 16 - families struggling to find caregivers for loved ones, small businesses unable to hire or retain the workers they need, neighbors living in constant anxiety that they could be separated from their families. This climate of fear undermines the very foundation of our state’s growth and vitality, weakening the bonds that hold our communities together.
I am committed to standing with our neighbors, and supporting advocacy groups like CASA, AYUDA, and ACLU of Maryland that are working on the front lines - to support those who are here building a better life for themselves and their families.
You can join me in that fight! When I am in the Legislature, I will work to protect Maryland families by defending our immigrant communities and strengthening economic development initiatives that help local businesses thrive. We need policies that grow opportunity, not fear.
